Edited 11/5/2025 I'm pleased with the job Dale did. Read my initial review first, then this edited part. Since the installation a year ago, we've had some issues with the chimney leaking into the living room. Dale and his men tried several times and several ways to correct it. Eventually they installed a completely new chimney cap, and that appears to have done the trick. Even though I've had problems, I have to give Dale credit - he kept working on it until he succeeded. I think what I said in the initial review was correct - Dale is determined to do it right. AND - I haven't edited the original review. The initial job was fantastic! -------------------------------------- Fantastic job! Call Hillside Hearth FIRST - it's a great company to do business with. There was an old "pre-fab" type fireplace in the basement that we had been told would be difficult or impossible to replace with an insert or stove. Dale said "I can" and he did (including the stone work!) He showed up on time the first day and gave us an estimate while he was here. The price was decent and accurate - (there was never a change from the original). He kept us informed of what was going on and he texted me whenever he or workers were on the way here. Dale is very determined to do it right. Like any construction job, there were a couple of small glitches - he took care of them immediately! And they even mopped the floor after they finished!
